Background: Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Gracy earned an MD from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 1995, working as a Primary Care Physician in the Brazilian Army and Brazilian Public Healthcare System, both in primary care and emergency settings. She obtained her certification by the United States Educational Commission for Foreign Graduate Students (ECFMG) in 2001. Her passion for Public Health and Research lead her to join the Graduate Program at the UC Merced Public Health in 2014, where she is finalizing the research for her PhD in Community Asthma Intervention. [email protected] CV Current Research Focus: is working on his dissertation, which focuses on Return on Investment for Local Health Departments Area of Expertise: large dataset management, economic evaluations, and discrete choice experiments Background: Ravi began the PhD program in 2015. Being from the Central Valley, he has seen first-hand the difficulties rural areas face in accessing quality health care. This, along with his background in economics, has inspired him to study health economics and health services research for his PhD. Examples of Research:

[email protected] Studies: Health Economics, Behavioral Economics and Food Systems Current Research Focus: Theresa’s current research focus is in behavioral economics and behavior change. Her current research projects include: • Understanding the Factors Related to Surgery Drink Consumption • Text Nudge - Using Text Messaging to Promote Physical Therapy with Older Adults in New Zealand Area of expertise: Theresa’s expertise includes health economics related to behavior change and the development of sustainable health programs. Much of her work has been in food systems analysis, program development, food access, maternal and child nutrition and youth development. Theresa has over 12 years of experience in maternal and child nutrition and food systems research and program development and evaluation. Much of her work has centered around youth and families’ acceptance and access to fresh fruit and vegetables.
